Show Notes Transcript Chapter Markers

Coincidences and synchronicities are happening around us ALL THE TIME. And they're so magical when we experience them! I'm sure you know the wild feeling that comes with a 'seemingly' random synchronicity that makes you say, "What are the odds?!" 😳

Often times, when we try to figure out what they mean, the common answer from Google or books or gurus is, "You're on the right path..." While I agree, I think it's so beneficial (and fun!) to go a little deeper and interpret our synchronicities, much like we would interpret a dream. I believe these experiences have messages meant specifically for us.

In this episode, I share how I interpreted a series of coincidences that recently happened to me ("What are the odds?!?!" was said many times!). I also share my tips on how you can interpret the hidden meanings and messages in these magical alignments. ✨

But definitely stick around for the CRAZIEST COINCIDENCE OF MY LIFE. I share my insane coincidence/synchronicity that STILL gives me goosebumps years later. I truly believe Tolstoy was communicating with me! 😂

Have you ever experienced a coincidence that completely freaks you out??

Well, hi, and welcome back to you know, there are so many podcasts out there, so many to choose from.

Andrea [00:00:49]:

I know I listen to a bunch of different podcasts all about magic and dream work and manifestation and all of that, and I'm just so honored that you're here and that you're listening to little old Andrea. I'm honestly, I'm honored. It makes me so happy to know that you came back. So thank you for being here. Welcome to another episode. Welcome to another week. And this episode is going to be all about synchronicity and coincidences and how to interpret them beyond just you're on the right path because they're happening all the time. And I think we're always on the right path, personally.

Andrea [00:01:31]:

And it's kind of fun to be able to interpret them almost like you interpret your dreams. So we'll dive into that. But before we begin, I'll give a little life update. This week is an exciting week because it's Ning and I's last week in Bulgaria, and we've got six days until we get on the plane and we head back to Vietnam. And, oh, my. So I get so giddy thinking about it. I love Bulgaria. I really, really do.

Andrea [00:02:03]:

It's a very special place, holds a special place in my heart. But there is something about Vietnam and just Asia in general that just there's something about it, something so magical. My heart feels so alive when I'm there, so I cannot wait. And we were here in Bansko, Bulgaria, last year, and it was definitely one of the highlights of my year. And so we came back this year, and it's really, really been nice. It was great to just kind of come back in and just get back into the groove of things. Do the coworking office be a part of the community? We knew all the great restaurants we loved. And there's a huge digital nomad community here.

Andrea [00:02:47]:

And so if you have ever considered being a digital nomad, or if you are a digital nomad, put Bainsco on your list. I'm not a snow bunny. It's a great place to come in the winter. That's when high season is. So a lot of people come in the winter. But during the summer, I personally love the summer because you can go up into the mountains. They also have Binsco Nomad fest, so you can meet a bunch of other digital nomads. So I definitely recommend coming here.

Andrea [00:03:15]:

And it's such a tight knit community, and we're a part of this community now where it's filled with these entrepreneurs, and it's so nice to connect with them and have these dinners and meetups and we're able to connect and talk about our passion for our businesses. What always surprises me is that a lot of the digital nomads I've met, especially ones that are entrepreneurs, people running their own businesses, a lot of them are very spiritual, and I wouldn't really expect that. But so many people I've met while traveling are doing what they're doing because of their spirituality. It's like something happened spiritually that catapulted them into this type of lifestyle. And that was definitely the case for me too. I mean, I definitely would not be doing what I'm doing now if it weren't for my spirituality, if it weren't for my dreams and my lucid dreaming. That's absolutely what got me to this point now. And I feel like this segues kind of nicely into today's topic about coincidences and synchronicity in this episode.

Andrea [00:04:30]:

I knew I had to do this episode because I don't know why. It's hard to even talk about because it almost feels so unreal. Have you ever had that where you have a coincidence where you're just like, how the hell did that happen? That is just too crazy. It literally stops you in your tracks. And so last week, I had a series of these moments where I was shook because I was like, how did this happen? But the thing about coincidences that I love doing is I love interpreting them. Like I said earlier, beyond the fact that you're just on the right path, there was much more going on. And so I want to share these coincidences that happened and how I interpreted them. And I'm hoping that that will kind of shed some light on how you can dig deeper into your synchronicities that happen.

Andrea [00:05:29]:

And then at the end of the episode, I'm going to share some tips that you can use to interpret your own coincidences. And then I'm also going to share, hands down, the craziest coincidence of my entire life. Absolutely unreal. And, oh, I think it's such a good way to end the episode. So let's dive in into coincidences and synchronicity. So the thing about coincidences and synchronicity, they're usually defined as something that's separate. So coincidences are typically defined as events or situations that appear to be related or connected purely by chance, without any meaning or purpose. And coincidences are often attributed by statistical probability that there is no meaning behind it.

Andrea [00:06:23]:

Whereas synchronicity is a little bit more spiritual. It suggests that there is meaning behind these events and carry a deeper significance or purpose. And Carl Jung, for example, master pioneer with Dreamwork, he proposed that synchronicities reflect a connection between one's inner psychological state and the external events so they can be seen as messages or signs from the unconscious mind, the collective unconscious or the universe or whatever it is you resonate with. And that sounds a lot like dreamwork, in my opinion. It's very, very related. So while both coincidences and synchronicities involve related events, according to standard definition, synchronicities hold meaning. And coincidences are quote unquote, random. I think it depends on your opinion.

Andrea [00:07:20]:

To be honest. I personally think the two words are interchangeable. This is just me. I personally believe related events are either all meaningful or not meaningful at all. Like in dreamwork, I don't think some symbols have meaning and some don't have meaning. I think it's all or nothing. All symbols have meaning or no symbols have meaning. So with coincidences, I think that they all have meaning personally, especially after you start experiencing them more and more.

Andrea [00:07:53]:

And when you have those major ones, you can't deny the magic behind them if you know, you know. So it's not like I would go along and experience a coincidence and then say, oh, no, this one doesn't have meaning. No, I think it all has meaning because it's like, where's the line? So if you've ever experienced a coincidence, which I'm assuming you have, I feel like most people have experienced those coincidences or synchronicities, whatever you want to call it, where, say you're thinking about someone and then minutes later they're texting you. There's so many different types of coincidences that happen, and I think that they all have meaning. And I'm always surprised when I come across people that are like, I don't believe in coincidences. And I think people that don't believe in coincidences, they just haven't experienced them enough. Or maybe, I don't know, maybe they have and they just don't want to believe the magic. But I think if they experience something strong enough, which is why I would love for all of those people to experience a lucid dream, because once you experience that type of strong synchronicity, it's like it just kind of opens your eyes to a whole new world.

Andrea [00:09:11]:

It really feels like that. So, like I said, at the end of this episode, I'm going to share the craziest coincidence I've ever had in my entire life. It doesn't seem real. And that was a moment where, I mean, I've always believed in synchronicity, but that was a moment where I was like, holy shit, something is going on. And so for the sake of this episode, I'm going to use the two terms interchangeably. I'm going to say coincidence, I'm going to say synchronicity. I think it all has meaning. And some people have other phrases to describe this.

Andrea [00:09:47]:

There's words like providence or serendipity or fate or signs. I've even read a book that I highly recommend. It's called when God winks. He calls them a god wink. And this book suggests that these types of occurrences are like signposts and they're helping you navigate along your path. And I think coincidences are coincidence. Try to say that three times fast. I feel like I'm going to stumble on this word every now and then.

Andrea [00:10:18]:

I think that they're happening all the time. I think that they're happening around us, whether we realize it or not. It's just a matter of being aware of them. And much like dreamwork, it's like exercising a muscle. The more you become aware of it, the more you connect these dots, you'll probably start experiencing it even more. Some coincidences are very much in your face. Like, you can't deny it, but I think others can be really subtle. And then they take a little bit of effort to notice and to connect the dots.

Andrea [00:10:52]:

Maybe it means a little bit of time goes by and then you experience something else and then you connect the dots. Or maybe there's a coincidence that's like, right there that could happen, but it requires a conversation with somebody. For example, when I was in Vietnam for my very first time, gosh, this was probably like five years ago now. I went to this little coffee shop and I was so nervous because it was my first time traveling alone and I was in Vietnam. It was like my second day. And I went to this little cafe and this woman came up to me and she was like, do you know the Wi Fi password? And I was like, actually, I don't and then we started talking and I didn't notice an accent on her, so I was like, oh, are you from the States? And she. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm from the States.

Andrea [00:11:41]:

I'm actually from Washington. And I was like me too. And the more we talked, the more we learned. Wait, I think we're kind of connected in some way. And it turns out that her brother used to work with my dad, and it was like, what are the ODS like some random tiny cafe in Vietnam? And I connect with this woman and we're somehow it's like the six degrees of separation. But if that conversation wouldn't have happened, we would have never known. And I think that these types of things are around us all the time. It just sometimes takes a conversation or some type of connection to figure it out or to experience it.

Andrea [00:12:29]:

So last week I experienced a series of coincidences. And I want to share these examples because I want to share how I interpret them, like, I interpret my dreams because I think that they all have meaning. And I don't know if you're like me, but sometimes you'll experience something and then you Google it and you're like, why did this happen? Or what does this coincidence mean? And almost every time the result is it means you're on the right path. That's usually the universal answer to like it's a message from the universe that you're on the right path. Okay, cool, I agree. But firstly, I think we're always on the right path. If it were up to me, but I like to go deeper, and I want to know why this certain thing happened to me. What does it mean in the context of my life? Oh, a little bird just landed.

Andrea [00:13:26]:

Oh, little bird is trying to fly into my apartment. Anyway, moving on. So this series of coincidences that happened, I was able to interpret them like I interpret my dreams. And I was able to connect the dots with all of them for a grander message. So to other people, these experiences are completely random. But for me, there was a message that I'm taking to heart. So as you listen, try to think of some of the coincidences that have happened in your life and try connecting them within the context of your life. Okay, so let's begin.

Andrea [00:14:06]:

So last week I was supposed to have a meeting with a new client, and we were going to have a discovery call, and she ended up messaging me late at night. I'm in Bainsco, so my time zone is different. So the message came in really late, but I received it, and I was like and she asked if we could postpone it a few days, and I said, yes, that's great. No problem. And then literally a couple hours later, I got a message from a guy named Derek, and he runs this mastermind. He calls it the quantum mastermind. And he's writing this book called Activate Your Life. And I'm contributing to this book.

Andrea [00:14:49]:

I'm contributing a chapter to this book all about nightmares. And so I've been in this kind of little network of authors, and we're all writing these chapters. And he also led a workshop all about time and time travel and how to bend time. That kind of stuff is super interesting to me. So I absolutely loved being in that type of group setting, learning about how to bend time and how to time travel and all of that. But I received a message from him a couple of hours after I received a message from my potential client, who's now my new client, which I'm really, really excited about. But he said in this message, he was like, hey, I'm having a small mastermind group. So he has his mastermind, which I'm not a part of, but he said, we're having this call tonight where we're doing a quantum unified manifestation.

Andrea [00:15:49]:

And he was like, it's at this time, we'd love to have you be a part of it. And I was like, wow, that was the same time that I was supposed to have this other call. And then she had to postpone it. So great, I can go now. So I was like, all right, let's go. And so I ended up going to this amazing meditation call where we focused on one manifestation we wanted to make happen and for another member of the group. And it was just six people. It was six of us.

Andrea [00:16:24]:

And it was really special to be a part of that, and especially with this group that was all about the quantum field and everything. And as we're sitting there, I see Derek take a drink from his mug. And I was like, that looks familiar. And I asked him, I was like, is that a Bulgarian mug? And he was like, oh, yeah, I was in Bulgaria in April. I was like, oh, that's random. But I was like, oh, cool. Did you just go to Sofia? That's like the biggest city. It's the capital city.

Andrea [00:16:58]:

And he was, no, no, I actually went to this it's a small mountain town. It's called bansko. And I was like, I'm in Bansko. That's where I live, right? Like, what are the ODS? And that was, like, the first well, I guess technically the second. The timing aspect was like, the first little coincidence. The second was about him being in Bansko. And I was like, this is crazy. What are the odds? Nobody really knows about Bainsko.

Andrea [00:17:29]:

It's not a place that a lot of people travel to. And he was like, oh, yeah, I traveled there with this guy named Tim Luffell. Do you know Tim Luffell? And I was like, oh, my gosh, that name sounds so familiar. And he was like, oh, he's one of the original travel writers. I'm like, Why does that name sound so familiar? But anyway, we moved on and we did the manifestation meditation, and it was wonderful, but that whole experience really stuck with me. So then later I was with my boyfriend Ning and we were watching these videos about Vietnam. We're really excited to go back. So we were watching kind of these travel videos and there was this couple, they were on this one of those basket boats that we've done before.

Andrea [00:18:19]:

It's really fun. Heads up. Go to Vietnam. Put it on your list as well. And the guy who was rowing the boat, he couldn't row it. He kept going in circle after circle after circle. And so Ning was like, oh, yeah, he needs to do it this way. And he was kind of making this motion with his arms and showing, like, an angle, and he was like, yeah, it's like tangential.

Andrea [00:18:44]:

I was like, tangential. What's that word? And it was interesting to me too, because English is Ning's third language. So I'm like, how do you know the word tangential? I've never even heard that word. And he's like, It's like a math. Like, it means that it's, like, slightly connected. And I'm like, wow, okay. I learned a new word today. And I remember I couldn't remember exactly the word.

Andrea [00:19:10]:

It felt like a brand new word to me. So I was like, that's cool. Oh, my gosh, it's crazy. It's so crazy. So then I am on a call with my dad and my stepmom and we're talking about my Magic Monday newsletter. And we're talking about because they're on the newsletter list. And so they were asking me about one of my magic tricks, like the magic word. So we're talking about that and then all of a sudden my dad starts talking about something else.

Andrea [00:19:44]:

And I remember thinking like, oh okay, we're talking about something else. And he made this comment though, he's like, I know I'm switching subjects but it's tangential. And I was like, what'd you just say? And he was like, tangential. And I kind of freaked out a little bit inside but honestly I couldn't really remember if that was the same word that Ning had used like 2 hours before. And so I was like, what does that mean? And he was like, it means like slightly connected. Not fully connected, but slightly connected. Like okay, that's weird. And I looked it up on my phone and was just like this is very strange.

Andrea [00:20:27]:

So we continued our conversation, we finished, I go back out to the living room and I was like, Ning, what was that word that you said earlier about the boat? And he was like, tangential. And I'm like, what the fuck? Like what? What are the ODS? Like a brand new word to me? I don't know. Does anybody else has? I'd never heard of tangential. Maybe I just was really bad in my math class or my English class, I don't know. But I freaked out yet again because I was like, what are the ODS? My boyfriend and my dad both saying this brand new word to me within a span of like 2 hours. And I thought it was like extra cool because basically what had happened was the definition of tangential. I was like, that it's, tangential. It's slightly connected.

Andrea [00:21:20]:

What crazy. So then the next step, this part isn't as like well yeah, it is still kind of crazy. But Ning and I ended up going to dinner with our friend Laurel. And so we went to this little town called Razlog, which is like a 15 minutes drive from Bansko. And we were really excited because we're like, oh my gosh, we're getting out of the Bainsco bubble because we don't have a car here, so we don't really get out of town very much. I'm not going to lie. So it was really exciting to get out of town and go to a different restaurant that had a little bit more variety with their food. So we go, we're sitting down and I end up mentioning this story to Laurel and she was like, oh yeah, Tim Leffle.

Andrea [00:22:11]:

That was the guy that Derek had traveled with to Bainsko. And I was like, do you know who Tim Leffle is? And she was, oh yeah, yeah, of course I know him. And she showed me a photo of him and I was like, oh my gosh, I remember him now because last year he was a speaker at Bainsko Nomad Fest and I was a volunteer. I helped with the main stage and I was getting the speakers prepped and ready. And I remember Tim Leffle, and I was like, what are the ODS? That it's just all, like, divinely connected. So, okay, I got to back up just a tiny bit. Sorry. Bear with me.

Andrea [00:22:51]:

I hope this is okay. I get really excited talking about all this stuff. So you know how I was on the phone with my dad talking about this whole tangential thing? Our house, we have a bunch of old antiques and stuff. It was a house built in 1910. And so my dad has a lot of antiques, and so sometimes we'll be on the phone, and he'll show me new things that he's restored or added. And so he walked around and he showed me one of those phones. He hung up one of those old early 19 hundreds phones that has, like, how do I explain it? I think you know what I mean. Like, the early 19 hundreds phones that has kind of like that cylinder thing you hold up to your ear and then you speak into the big box.

Andrea [00:23:37]:

Oh, my gosh, I'm not explaining this well at all, but I think you know what I mean. And so I was like, oh, that's really cool, and just kind of a neat new restoration project that he had done and hung it up in our house. And so fast forward now to our dinner with Laurel, and then we have the whole Tim Leffle connection. And then I'm sitting there, and the waiter had sat us down at this table that was, like, next to this post. And I looked up on the post, and I hadn't really looked around very much before, but then when I looked up and this was the same night, this was, like an hour after my call with my dad, I see the same old phone, and I'm like, again, what is the ODS? It just blew me away. It was like three or four crazy coincidences that all happened within one day. And it was like, this means something. There's got to be some kind of message within this that I want to do some journaling and kind of figure this out.

Andrea [00:24:46]:

So the next day, I was journaling about all of this, and as I was writing it all out, I was like, okay, what is the thing that's kind of tying all this together? Because the fact that it happened in one day, I feel like they've all got to be connected in some kind of way. And so here's how I kind of connected it. So, first of all, Derek and Tim, they're both writers. They're both authors, and I'm contributing to this book as I'm technically going to be an author, which yay, by the way, I'm so excited. I'll tell you more about it as it gets released. But Derek to me is like an author. So it was like, okay, there's kind of this writing theme in my mind, and then the word tangential I think the word tangential, it was like maybe it wasn't specifically about writing. It just was like this overall theme of it's all slightly connected.

Andrea [00:25:45]:

It was like the reminder that everything that's happening right now is slightly connected. And then the phone, I'm like, it's from the early 19 hundreds. And then also Derek, I had gone to that workshop about time, and he was talking about time travel. It's so fascinating. I know that maybe it makes me sound like a nut, but I love the concept of time and time traveling, especially in your lucid dreams. And so many things happen where I'm like it's like the movie Interstellar. It's like, is my past me or my future me? Like, communicating with me or something? Or is there a different version of me in a different dimension or something? Because some of these things are too crazy to just be random. And it feels like it's almost like a message from myself.

Andrea [00:26:38]:

So I'm thinking of the phone, early 19 hundreds. And then it brought up my memory of my Akashic Records reading. And so I had an Akashic Records reading when I was in Thailand, and this was about four and a half years ago, maybe five years ago. It was right after I had gone to Vietnam for the first time. And so Akashic Records, it's basically like this universal book of every thought that's happened. You can hire someone to do an Akashic Records reading, and they'll give you all these answers and tell you about your past lives. And it's really fascinating. And when I was in my Akashic Records reading, I did it with a man named Neil.

Andrea [00:27:21]:

And if you want to look him up, his website, I believe it's globalacasha.com, and I can share it in the show notes. But he had done a full on reading for me. It was like an hour and a half reading. And he told me that one of my past lives was that I was a writer and I used to write penny dreadfuls. And I had never heard the term penny dreadful, but he said that back in the early 19 hundreds I believe it's the early 19 hundreds, there were these pamphlets called Penny Dreadfuls where people would write and submit horror stories. There were scary stories. That's why they say dreadful. And so my past life, I was, like, a good person, but I was obsessed with murders and things like that.

Andrea [00:28:18]:

And I'm like, okay, yeah, that's weird. That is not like me at all anymore. I can't watch anything scary on TV. But he basically said, I used to write penny dreadfuls. And then he was telling me it was kind of like a psychic reading. But that's another thing that maybe I could do an episode on, but, like, psychic readings. I don't really believe in someone telling you your future. I think that they can give you some ideas of potential timelines that you could live through.

Andrea [00:28:54]:

But I don't believe that there's one set like, you will do this because of free will. I like to believe I have free will and I can go whichever way I want. But he was telling me about a potential timeline in my future, and he was saying that in this timeline, I'm likely to write children's books. And he said, you're going to write at least three books, and your third book is going to be about dreamwork for kids. And of course, I got really, really excited about that because I used to be a teacher. I love writing, and it's actually a thought that I had had on my mind. So I was like, wow, this is kind of perfect. So about two years ago, I was wanting to write a children's book, and I ended up coming up with this concept, and I wanted to kind of tie in this past life version of me, penny dreadful.

Andrea [00:29:52]:

And I was like, I want to do I was thinking about karma, like, how can I overcome this karma of being obsessed with murders? And I was like, I want to call my main character Penny Wonderful. I'm going to call this the Penny Wonderful series. So I ended up writing a whole story with my friend. We were writing the story, we were sketching it out. And then everything happened with COVID and she went back to the States. I was in Vietnam. And then it just sort of laid dormant. But for me, the old phone kind of brought back that memory of penny dreadful.

Andrea [00:30:33]:

And it's like I was thinking, okay, it's a phone, so maybe someone is trying to communicate with me. I know it seems like a stretch, but I love thinking like that because it's like phones are made for communication. And I was like, maybe someone is trying to communicate with me from the past. I know it sounds wacky, but I was like, maybe it's my old version or not version, but old penny dreadful writer Andrea that is like, you need to write or get this book out there. So then as I was journaling, I was like, okay, if I find a penny, it's all going to tie this all together because the penny represents, like, penny dreadful. Penny wonderful. So then I just kind of went about my day then. I think it was like the next day I went to the coworking office.

Andrea [00:31:29]:

And then when I came home, I was cleaning up and on the ground, and yes, it was in my apartment. Maybe this isn't as like crazy, but when I saw it, I was like, there we go. There it is. It's a little Bulgarian penny. Like a teeny, tiny, copper Bulgarian penny. And I was like, there it is. And I taped it into my journal, and I was like, Penny wonderful. She needs to be to I need to go back to that project and make penny come.

Andrea [00:32:03]:

To life. And that's how I kind of connected all of these coincidences. And then to make it even more concrete in my mind, I had a dream about three mornings ago. I had a dream that I was with a book publisher and I was telling her all about Penny Wonderful and I was basically pitching the book. So, again, I know that all of these seemingly connected events, they could be completely random. They could be random. I don't know. But I love the thought of them all being connected somehow because it was like, what? Again? What are the ODS? So it makes me feel like there was some reason I needed to experience these.

Andrea [00:32:54]:

And it was like, my future, me, my past, me, telling me, like, okay, get back into it. Get this book out there. So that's how I interpreted it. Maybe it's all wrong. I don't know. Maybe all these things could have a similar thread that's more about travel or Bulgaria specifically. I don't know. I could probably make a gazillion different interpretations of what these coincidences mean.

Andrea [00:33:22]:

But to me, the common thread was this writing aspect, and especially with my Penny Wonderful and it's intuitive. It's like this feeling that I get when I think about it. It's like, yeah, that's the obvious answer to me. So I just wanted to share that. Thank you for if you're still here, thank you for sticking with me. But it's absolutely magical when you start experiencing these types of things. I think that when you experience one, it turns into a snowball effect. You'll start experiencing more.

Andrea [00:34:00]:

You'll become more attuned to them. And so when you start experiencing them, I'll give you, like, a quick little rundown of how you can interpret them yourself. First of all, I recommend keeping a journal and writing them down. I actually have a section in my journal where I just wrote, like, synchronicities, and I write the date and I write the synchronicity. Or just like, seemingly random coincidence. Because sometimes one of the elements of synchronicity, in my opinion, is like time. And going back to the whole time concept, it's like, sometimes you need time and then you'll experience something else, and then you'll realize how it's connected also. So second, look at the context of your life.

Andrea [00:34:48]:

I have said this so many times already, but it's so much like dreamwork, I think it's all the same. It's like dream work. All your dreams, they're like synchronicities happening in your subconscious mind. It's very similar the way you interpret them. Keeping a journal, looking at the context of your life, what's going on in your life, or earlier in your childhood, or maybe in your visions or your goals. How are these things connected? Try to find the little thread that's connecting it all. Third, really listen to your intuition. Try not to Google things.

Andrea [00:35:28]:

Like I say with dreamwork, don't just automatically open a dream dictionary. Everything is deeply, deeply personal. Like my examples, for example, those are personal to me. Like, if I looked up those things happening on Google, there would be no answer to it. It all has to do with me and the context of my life. And I intuitively feel it's like that whisper in the back of your mind that tells you what this means. So when you're trying to interpret, pay attention to that whisper in the back of your mind. Just try to go with that first thought that comes up.

Andrea [00:36:09]:

And fourth, look at it all as like a puzzle, like a game. I know I've talked about this a lot in prior episodes, but it's really fun to kind of view it all as this big game that we're all playing, and we're like, the main character and we're figuring it all out. We're uncovering new things, we're connecting the dots, and it doesn't need to be taken so seriously. Just kind of have fun with it. And like I said, sometimes it takes time, sometimes it takes conversations or experiences. Like when I was talking about Tim Leffle, that coincidence was right there, but I needed Laurel to show me the picture of him, to remember, oh, yeah, that's how we're connected. So just go through your day with kind of just this open mind. Be open to noticing little connections and try to talk with people and connect with people and see how you could possibly be connected with them.

Andrea [00:37:16]:

You never know. It's like meeting that woman in the coffee shop who was connected to my dad. It's just crazy, crazy. And it's funny. I was actually telling this story to one of my friends, and I was all hyped up. I was like, this is crazy. So I feel like it has to do with this. And she actually stopped me and she was like, you don't actually have to do anything with this.

Andrea [00:37:38]:

You don't need to interpret your coincidences. Just keep living. And I do agree, especially with me, I can get really swept away in this type of stuff. Like, I will admit it, I can get really wrapped up in like, what does this mean? What is the universe trying to tell me? It can be a little consuming, and I do agree. Don't forget to keep living. But I think it's really important to do what feels right to you. Some people, maybe they don't give a shit about coincidences, and that's okay. That's totally fine.

Andrea [00:38:21]:

But if you notice that you're becoming a little bit too introspective or it's taking you out of the moment, then that's when you can take a step back. But I think that when you're tapping into these synchronicities, it becomes more and more natural. So as you're kind of like, maybe you're new to this and becoming a little bit more aware, and maybe it's more on your conscious mind, but the more you kind of practice this much, like, dream work, it becomes more and more natural. And you'll just start experiencing all of these synchronicities naturally. And I think it adds more sparkle to your life. It's like whenever it happens, I feel like it's some message from either the universe or the collective unconscious or myself from the future, whatever. I think it just makes it a little bit more fun. So I will end this episode with the so all those examples I was giving, those were crazy coincidences, but nothing compared to this coincidence.

Andrea [00:39:28]:

Oh my ugh, it's absolutely wild. What happened. So about this was probably three years living. So I was back in the States. This was probably like six or seven months because this was during COVID So I had to leave Vietnam, so I had to go home. I was doing long distance with my I most of the time. I ended up living in California, but before that I was living with my cousin in Seattle and I was living with her. And while I was there, she had decided she was going to put her house on the market.

Andrea [00:40:10]:

So it actually worked out perfectly because I was there and I was able to help and I was able to help her pack things up and organize things and just kind of get that process moving. So her son and granddaughter ended up coming to Seattle to help as well. And so my cousin's granddaughter, her name is Remy. So Remy was probably five at the time, I think. So Remy was like running know, being a kid and entertaining herself. And then we were in the garage. I was in the garage with my cousin, and my cousin looked at me and she's like, oh my gosh, you're never going to believe what we found. We found an entire collection of tolstoy books, an entire series.

Andrea [00:41:05]:

And so she showed me the box and it was like all these different tolstoy books. And I was like, oh, that's really cool, wow. And it was just kind of this kind of random thing. But I was like, oh yeah, that's really neat. She had no idea that it was like somewhere in her garage stored for so long. And then Remy was like getting a little antsy, and she was like, I want to watch a show. And so I was like, okay, I'll go in with you. And we went into the living room.

Andrea [00:41:33]:

And then she turned on Netflix. And I was like, go ahead and just pick whatever show you want. So she's like randomly scrolling through, and then she picks a show called Trolls. And then as she's picking the episodes, she's not picking the first one or the second one, she's just randomly scrolling through and then just picks one. So then the show starts, the episode starts, and it's so crazy to me. So it starts out like really weird because it's like a family in a garage and they're organizing boxes to donate, which is exactly what we were doing because my cousin, she was going to be moving down to California. She couldn't take a lot of her stuff, so she was like, keeping some of it, storing some of it, but donating like a ton of stuff. So as this episode starts, I think it was like the dad or the grandpa or something.

Andrea [00:42:40]:

They talked about how they were organizing things in order to donate it. And I was like, whoa, what are the odds? That's kind of random. That's exactly what we're doing. And so I'm not I am not making this up. Oh my God. It freaks me out. So in that clip, the grandpa or the dad or whatever, he says, oh, you'll never believe what we found. We found the entire collection of troll story.

Andrea [00:43:18]:

Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? And even thinking about it now, I get a lump in my throat. I get goosebumps. I freak out. I'm just like, I still cannot believe that that happened because it seems like the most random thing. But it was, like, cute because they turned Tolstoy into troll story to match trolls. And I jumped up and I was like, you got to be fucking kidding me. What? So I bolted to the garage to my cousin, and I look at her and I'm like, what was the collection that you found? And the family is looking at me like, did you just see an alien or something? And I was like because I'm thinking, did I just make that up in my brain? And I was like, what was the collection that you said that you found? And she's like tolstoy. And I'm like, you're not going to believe this.

Andrea [00:44:22]:

Remy picked an episode and it was talking about finding a collection of story. And yes, they got excited, but nowhere near as excited as I got. But it still shakes me. And again, we can go into the that's so random. What a coincidence. Like, statistically, blah, blah, blah. But I'm like, dude, is Tolstoy trying to send me a message? Of course, that's what my mind jumps to, because so after that, I started researching Tolstoy and was like, what was his philosophy? Do I need to learn more about him? Read his books? Obviously, maybe I need to read his collection of books. But it was one of those moments that it seems unreal.

Andrea [00:45:17]:

And I hope you can tell through my excitement that I'm not making this up. It was one of the most insane moments of my life. And so I would love to end this episode on a high. And maybe I need to leave the philosophy of Tolstoy as the end of my episode. So I've done some research on him, and I do need to read his books. I will say I have not read his books yet. Gosh, I'm starting to lose my voice. I'm getting too excited.

Andrea [00:45:51]:

But when I did some research on Tolstoy, his philosophy is that your first responsibility in life is to understand your purpose, meaning and yourself. And his message was that by trying to understand yourself and others, you can live your life to the fullest. And so he really believes in being happy, being kind, and being useful. And obviously I could go way deeper than this, but I think that this kind of general philosophy from Tolstoy is the perfect ending because it's exactly how I feel as well. And it's something that I am trying to help others do, it's something I'm doing myself. And I really, really believe, especially in the world today, we just need to be kind. We need to be kind to others. And I think about nightmares and how we need to hug the monster, the bad things that are happening in our world, in our life, and in our nightmares, they just need love.

Andrea [00:47:13]:

Like send love to the pain and the fear in our world right now. And I know that that sounds maybe a little too like woo woo, or like, no, people are suffering. And I get that there's a lot of shitty things happening right now, but we just need to all work on ourselves, raise our vibration. We need to emit our love and spread that across the world. That is truly my mission in life, is to spread this magic. That's why I'm doing the podcast, that's why I have my business. It's what I'm trying to do with my clients. It's literally just to spread this love and this magic in whatever way I best possibly can.

Andrea [00:47:58]:

So thank you tolstoy for your message. I hope that this helps. Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any crazy coincidences like that. I think a lot of us do have those undeniable moments where you're like, how on earth did this happen? And I really think that there is meaning behind that. And I think you can interpret it and dig deeper and figure out what is the message behind this? What do I need to do or what do I need to share? Everything has meaning. Everything has meaning. Okay, that was fun. That was a fun episode.

Andrea [00:48:42]:
